Aang hated his job at the topless restaurant.  In theory, it had sounded like it would be fun.  In reality, it was anything but.  If he had a dollar for every time he'd been hit on by a drunk bachelorette-or one of her equally drunk friends-he could retire a very wealthy eighteen year old.  The other waiters complained about it, too.  The waitresses had absolutely no sympathy for most of them, either.  Aang was on their side in the whole sympathy issue.  The waiters had to deal with bachelorette parties.  The waitresses had to deal with every drunken guy and horny guy who came in.
There were some good-looking guys who flirted with him, but none of them interested Aang.  It had been four months, and he still couldn't get the handsome actor who had Aang stay at his house for a night out of his head.  It was ridiculous, really.  Nothing had happened between them.  Zuko had just been a Good Samaritan.  Aang still felt guilty about sneaking out of his house before dawn without saying anything to him, just leaving a note.
"Aang?  Can you take Table 3 for me?"
         "Sure, Stephanie."
"Oh!  And Table 5 specifically requested a waiter, so you can take that table too."
"It's not a bachelorette party, is it?"  Aang was one of the few waiters the women would show any sympathy to when it came to being harassed by patrons.
"Nope.  I think one of them is an actor, although I can't think of his name."
The couple at Table 3 was too busy arguing to order, so Aang decided to go to Table 5 instead.  The arguing was probably why Steph didn't want the table.  She was prone to headaches.  The negative energy coming off that couple in waves would give a pounding headache within minutes.  He froze as soon as he saw who was at Table 5.  It was almost as if thinking about him had made Zuko Ohasi materialize at the restaurant.  Crap.  Maybe he wouldn't recognize him.  He probably didn't even remember him.
"Hi!  Welcome to Nungas.  My name's Aang, and I'll be your waiter tonight. Have you decided what you want to drink this evening?"  Zuko stared at him.  So much for hoping that he wouldn't recognize him.  The tan man with him didn't seem to notice Zuko's reaction.
"Um, some iced tea.  I'm driving."  Aang looked at Zuko.
"Iced tea sounds good to me."
"Raspberry, Peach, Strawberry, Lemon, or regular?"  The tan one answered first.
          "Lemon."
         "Peach."
"Are you ready to order, or would you like me to come back in a few minutes?"
"Come back in a few minutes."
"OK.  I'll be right back with your drinks."  Aang could feel Zuko's eyes on him all the way back to the kitchen.
Back at the table, Sokka smirked at Zuko.
"Hah!  I knew this was the right place to take you to get you out of that funk you've been in for months now.  I'm going to the bathroom.  I'll be right back."
"Sokka!  If you ask him for his number, you're fired!"  Sokka laughed.
"You can't fire me, I have a contract."
Aang turned around and almost spilled the drinks when he found the tan man from Zuko's table right behind him.
"You're not supposed to be back here.  This area is for employees only," Aang told him.
"I'm sorry.  I didn't know.  I just wanted to know if I could have your number."
"No."  Aang slipped past him and headed towards his table, hoping he would take the hint and go back to where he belonged.
"It's not for me.  It's for my boss."
"Of course it is."  Aang's voice dripped sarcasm.  "The answer's still 'no'."
"I did my best, Zuko.  He said no."
"I told you not to.  I'm sorry if he bothered you, Aang."
"It's all right.  I'm used to rebuffing unwanted advances, its part of working shirtless in a place that serves booze."  Was that a small flicker of disappointment in Zuko's golden eyes?  Aang suspected that his mind was making things up since he'd developed a crush on Zuko after he helped him.  "Have you decided what you'd like to order?"
"Can I have another few minutes?"
"If you hadn't bothered him you probably would have made up your mind by now."  Aang walked away with them still bickering and headed back to Table 3.  The couple there was done arguing and was just glaring at each other in silence.
"Hi!  Welcome to Nungas.  My name's Aang, and I'll be your waiter tonight.  Have you decided what you want to drink this evening?"
"What happened to the bimbo?  The one with big hooters?"  If looks could kill, the woman would be arrested for murder.
"She had too many tables so I took over a few when I started my shift."  That was part of the reason, so it wasn't as if Aang was lying to the asshole.
"I want the chick back."  Aang took a deep breath to stay calm.  Snapping at the customers was one of the best ways to be fired, and as much as he hated this job, he needed the money.
"I'm sorry, sir.  Stephanie is not available.  You're just going to have to put up with me."
"I would like water with lemon, please."  The woman at least seemed to have manners.
"Beer."  Aang hoped the woman was driving.
"Are you ready to order, or would you like me to come back in a few minutes?"
"How 'bout you bring my fucking beer already?  Christ, you're even dumber than the ball and chain."  The woman smiled apologetically at Aang.
"I'll be right back with your drinks, then."
He passed Steph on his way to fetch their drinks.
"I don't blame you for dropping Table 3 like a hot potato.  She seems to have manners, but he definitely doesn't."  She laughed.  The man wasn't in any better of a mood when Aang got back with their drinks.
"Have you decided what you'd like to order?"
         "Bacon Cheeseburger.  With fries."
"I would like a salad, with chicken on it."
"Would you like your chicken grilled, or breaded and fried?"
"Get it grilled, fatty."  Aang gritted his teeth to keep from snapping at the asshat.  There was nothing wrong with the woman's weight.  If anyone needed to lose a few pounds, it was the man.
"I would like it breaded, please."  Aang smiled at her.  He had a feeling that if the man hadn't opened his mouth it would have been grilled.
"I'll bring your food out as soon as it's finished."  He dropped the order off at the kitchen, then headed to the hostess station where a couple was waiting to be seated.  His steps faltered when he recognized them.  His mother…and her husband.  The man he'd been running from when he literally ran into Zuko.  He grabbed the arm of a passing waiter.  "I will take your next five tables and give you all the tips if you take that couple.  Please."  Aaron gave Aang a funny look, then shrugged when he realized that Aang was perfectly serious.
"Fine.  You can tell me why you're so desperate to avoid those two when we're on break." Aang nodded. "Where are most of your tables?"
"I have 3 and 5 at the moment."
"Right.  I'll put them at 15, then."  Aang made a mental note of the table number so he could avoid it, then headed back to Table 5.  He plastered a smile on his face, hoping to hide the fact that he was still a little shaken over the near miss with his mother and stepfather.
         "Are you ready to order?"
"Yes.  I would like the spinach salad with grilled chicken."
"I want the BBQ rib platter."
"Of course you do.  It's the one with the most meat."
"OK!  I'll bring your food out as soon as it's finished."  Those two bickered a lot.  It was nowhere near as bad as the couple from Table 3 was, though.  The couple from that table obviously hated each other with a passion.  Zuko and his tan friend obviously respected each other, and their bickering was good-natured, as opposed to the venom being exchanged between the other couple.
"Aang?"  Aang looked up at Zuko, startled.
         "Oh, um, hi."
"Why'd you leave that night without saying anything to me?"  Aang was mortified when he heard Aaron splutter with laughter behind him.  It wasn't hard to figure out what Aaron thought had happened between them.  What the hell could he say?  He was saved, though, when Aaron grabbed his arm.
"Aang, that couple you were trying to avoid is coming this way."  Crap.  He had to do something.
"Um, tell you what.  I'll give you my number and you can call me later, and we'll talk about this, okay?"  That would give him time to come up with some reason for his actions.  He quickly scribbled his number down on a napkin and gave it to Zuko, who didn't look overly happy, but took it anyway.
"Why can't we talk about this now?"
"Because…um…it's almost time for my break."
"No, it's not."  Aang shot Aaron a dirty look.  His mother and stepfather had definitely seen him by this point.  His stepfather looked murderous, and his mother looked like she was going to cry.  Aang hated seeing her like that, but there was no way he was going back.  "Oh, wait, look at the time.  It is time for our break.  Thank you for coming, sir.  I hope you enjoyed your meal."  Aaron pulled Aang away towards the break room.
"Aang, baby, wait!"  Aang ducked into the room and leaned against the wall, ignoring his mother's plea.
         "Alright, spill."
"The couple I was trying to avoid is my mother and stepfather.  I have no issue with my mother, beyond the fact she married that bastard.  My stepfather is abusive, alcoholic, and homophobic.  He's the reason I ran away from home two years ago."
"OK, what about the guy?  Did you two have a one night stand, and you snuck out afterwards?"  Aang felt a blush heat his cheeks.
"No!  He was a Good Samaritan.  I crashed into him because my stepfather had found me, and was chasing me.  He let me stay in his house for the night."  Aang was not going to mention that Zuko also let him use his shower, and let him borrow some clothes.  Or that Aang had had the most erotic dream he'd ever had in his life, featuring the handsome actor.  "I slipped out shortly after dawn without saying anything to him.  I left a note, though.  I was surprised when he recognized me tonight; I honestly thought that he would have forgotten me completely."
"If I let someone stay in my house, and they didn't even say 'thank you' before leaving, I'd remember them.  Especially if I found them attractive enough that I looked at them the way he looked at you."
"I don't have the foggiest idea what you're talking about.  He looked at me the way he would look at any other waiter."
"Ha!  You should have seen the death glare he sent me when I grabbed your arm.  If looks could kill, I'd be making an appointment with the medical examiner, instead of talking to you.  If he's not seriously attracted to you, then there's something wrong in that pretty head of his."
Another oneshot in my Actor!Zuko thingy. I really have to come up with a title for this thing. Any suggestions? I think I'll call it Lights! Camera! Action!. How's that sound?

This is a series of interconnected oneshots, that I am not writing in order. As I write them, I will list the correct order of oneshots in the description. I will also number the ones that I know where they're going to end up in this thing.

EDIT: I changed the restaurant name to 'Nungas.' I shall give anyone who recognizes the joke and can identify where it's from a cookie. :)

This takes place four months after 'Torture.'
